Prototyping is an extremely exciting part of the process for our clients. It’s the first instance that they get to see a physical version of their product. Our in-house 3D printers allow us to create tangible objects from digital CAD models, with the capability of utilising an array of different, colours and finishes. The detailed models are produced to prove the principle of the intended design and analyse its functionality further.

Building lasting relationships with worldwide manufacturers allows us to utilise a wide range of prototyping techniques ranging from Stereolithography (SLA), Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), CNC machining, casting and laser and water jet cutting. We also have the ability to 3D scan an existing part and utilise this in the CAD modelling or prototyping stages.

In this stage, it’s possible to get a good understanding of the product’s performance, by conducting cycle testing, destructive testing, functional viability assessments and focus group reviews to name just a few.
