Prototyping is an extremely exciting part of the process for our clients. It’s often the first time they see a physical version of their product. We have our own 3D printers to create objects in an array of different colours and finishes. But we also have the strength of a trusted network of manufacturers. Creating a detailed prototype model proves the principle of the intended design and so that we can analyse its functionality further.
We like to get our hands dirty
We have our own workshop for the team to model and prototype products. With a range of 3D printers, industrial sewing machine and lots of tools, we can really get hands-on. We pride ourselves on creating designs that can be manufactured so creating realistic prototypes is an important aspect of our process. We also have the ability to 3D scan an existing part and use this in the CAD modelling or prototyping stages.

Our established relationships with worldwide manufacturers is our core strength. It gives us access to a wide range of prototyping techniques such as:
- Stereolithography (SLA)
- Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
- CNC machining
- Laser and water jet cutting.
Evaluating prototypes to optimise product performance
At this stage of your product’s development, it’s possible to get a good understanding of the product’s performance. This could be by conducting cycle testing, destructive testing, functional viability assessments or focus group reviews. Don’t forget that prototyping, testing and repeating is an iterative stage of development. It’s about refining your product to deliver the best design outcome.
