Greater support for the local creative sector: Hereford Herd secures funding and plans greater support for local creatives.
In an exciting development for the local creative sector, the creative network Hereford Herd, founded by design visionary Kristo Shivachev and social media agency entrepreneur Ann Grier, has secured funding through the Herefordshire UK SPF Cultural Development Rnd3 fund and also developed a new partnership with Rural Media.
This collaboration is set to steer Hereford Herd into its next phase of growth, aligning with Rural Media’s digital futures plan for the county.
Post-pandemic, the need for creative networking gave rise to this thriving community that provides informal networking events to support and connect local creative businesses, education and mentors. Its achievements include successful social events, a strong community network, and burgeoning partnerships with key educational and businesses such as Hereford College of Arts and NMITE.

This support and funding will also see the community expand into the Herefordshire Herd, aiming to support creatives right across the county.
Grant Black and Rich Matthews of Rural Media remarked: “We are excited about what Ann and Kristo have developed and are looking forward to working together to deliver on the mission to make this accessible to creative minds across the county.”
Founder Ann Grier comments, “We are excited to receive this funding. The collaboration with Rural Media will help realise our mission, ensuring greater access and support to everyone seeking a future in the creative industries across the county.”
